The Foam Dodgeball Championship (FDC) is the annual championship tournament of the pro-am division of Major League Dodgeball. The championship is held annually in Dallas, Texas and features teams in both men’s and women’s divisions.

FDC features the worldwide standard 7-inch foam dodgeballs and rules of the World Dodgeball Federation (WDBF) for the fastest, most exciting, most competitive and most entertaining dodgeball action.

• 9:45 AM: Captains Meeting
• 10:00 AM – 1:45 PM: Round Robin (End time is approximate.)
• 1:45 PM – 2:30 PM: Lunch Break (Times are approximate)

Fieldhouse USA at Grapevine Mills Mall

The Fieldhouse USA at Grapevine Mills Mall, very near the north entrance of DFW International Airport, is the venue for FDC 2023. The venue features nine courts for dodgeball, along with ample sitting areas around the perimeter and a snack bar. The Fieldhouse has an entrance to the indoor Grapevine Mills Mall. The mall is across the street from the host hotel.

Outside food or drinks are not allowed at the Fieldhouse facility, along with coolers, pets and hoverboards. A nice selection of food and snacks can be found at Ted E’s Kitchen. Bottled water and Gatorade can be found on the back wall behind the snack bar.

Grapevine Mills Mall

Grapevine Mills Mall is an indoor, climate controlled mall that features 180 stores of shopping, entertainment and restaurants. Notable at the mall is Meow Wolf Grapevine, Rainforest Cafe, LEGOLAND Discovery Center, SEA LIFE Grapevine Aquarium, Peppa Pig World of Play, Lunar Golf, AMC Grapevine Mills 24 and Round 1, the FDC 2023 after party venue.

FDC 2023 players and fans will have plenty of food choices at Grapevine Mills Mall. The food court features a number of restaurants, including Sbarro, Basil Thai, Taco Bell, Sonic, Popeye’s Chicken, Panda Express, Great Wraps and Chili’s. Also in the mall is the Rainforest Cafe, various cookie, pretzel and ice cream stores and K-Dogs, a Korean-style corn dog restaurant near the mall entrance of FieldhouseUSA. Outside the mall are even more choices, including the popular Blue Goose Cantina (Mexican food), Chik-fil-A and more.

Jason’s Dream Foundation

FDC 2023 benefits the Jason’s Dream Foundation, an organization that provides encouragement and assistance to families with children who are fighting terminal illness. All players are asked to bring a toy or donation to the tournament for their annual food drive. Toys may be mailed directly to a tournament organizer. Contact us for the address. Additionally, there are several toy-related stores at Grapevine Mills Mall for last minute shoppers, including Toys Express and the Disney Store.

Round Robin

Round robin play will start promptly at 10 AM and continue until approximately 1:40 PM. All courts will be on a universal clock. Games will start with or without teams and players being ready. It is imperative that all players, teams and refs understand their court and time assignments. It is the responsibility of team captains to have their players and teams on the right courts at the right times.

Scoring

Teams will be awarded the following match points in Round Robin play:

Win = 3
Tie = 1
Loss = 0

Match points will be used to seed the championship bracket. If a team or teams have the same number of points after Round Robin play then the seeding is decided on:

The FDC 2023 After Party will be held at Round 1 located at Grapevine Mills Mall. Round 1 is a state-of-the-art entertainment center that offers bowling, billiards, arcade games, karaoke, darts, ping pong and more. The after-party will start after the tournament at approximately 9 PM. Round 1 is open until 2 AM.
