Major League Dodgeball Seeking Team Owners for the Cities Cup

Claim your city, create your team, and battle for glory in the MLD Cities Cup dodgeball championship.

Major League Dodgeball (MLD) is offering an exciting opportunity to own a professional-style dodgeball team and compete in the brand-new MLD Cities Cup, a championship to crown the world’s best city-based team. MLD is seeking passionate and experienced team owners with a background in dodgeball, sports management, or event organization. Owners will build their franchise from the ground up, creating a professional city-and-nickname identity (e.g., Tokyo Godzillas, Dallas Ghosts), a top-quality logo, and professional-grade jerseys. Teams will meet up at the inaugural Cities Cup, with the host city and date to be announced. Modeled after the most successful business practices in professional sports, the Cities Cup will spark regional rivalries, grow loyal fan bases, attract sponsors and partners, generate merchandise revenue, and (with a combination of luck and hard work) achieve widespread media exposure—making it the perfect opportunity to be part of dodgeball’s next big leap. Prospective team owners should contact the Commissioner of Dodgeball Tom Wakefield at mldodgeball@gmail.com with the following:

  • Your Name
  • Your Organization
  • City
  • Proposed team name.
  • Team logo (if developed).
  • Division (Open Pro, Open Semi-Pro, Women’s)
  • Dodgeball, sports or event organizing experience.
